Advent is a time for reflection: Reflect on the year, look forward to the past and hope for the new. With this in mind, the Warburg Earth Charter Ideas Workshop has joined forces with the Earth Charter Secondary School in order to carry out a special joint closing campaign in the anniversary year “10 Years of the Earth Charter City of Warburg”.ECI-Warburg
Based on an advent calendar The future wishes of the Earth Charter students will be displayed in different shop windows in the old and new towns of Warburg from December 1st to December 24th. "We are happy to have won the Warburg retail stores for this campaign", is led by Valeria Geritzen, coordinator of the Warburg Earth Charter Ideas Workshop.
"At the end of the campaign, the students' wishes should result in an extensive wish list for the new year, representative of all the citizens of the Hanseatic city," explains Anke Fabian and is already looking forward to what could come of it.
During the campaign, an overview of the wish lists will be available at the Neustadt-Markplatz Infopoint and at the United Volksbank eG. "Andreas Niggemeyer has also taken an overview of the locations into the administration, so that it can be displayed there," the idea of future wishes for the Earth Charter City already met with approval in advance. "As a city, we would like to hear and absorb sustainable thinking and the attitude of young people," says the new first alderman of the Hanseatic City of Warburg.
