1-24 December Advent campaign with the Earth Charter Secondary School: "24 Wishes for the Future"

Advent is a time for reflection: Reflect on the year, look forward to the past and hope for the new. With this in mind, the Warburg Earth Charter Ideas Workshop has joined forces with the Earth Charter Secondary School in order to carry out a special joint closing campaign in the anniversary year “10 Years of the Earth Charter City of Warburg”.

The pupils and teachers of the Earth Charter Secondary School at the Warburg sub-location have formulated 24 wishes for the future and for the Hanseatic City in accordance with the Earth Charter, the initiative for this came from the Earth Charter Ideas Workshop and was welcomed with joy , says Claudia Güthoff, headmistress of the secondary school. "We are pleased that the ideas workshop is organizing something so beautiful and that we can simply take part with our students, without a lot of our own effort," continues Claudia Güthoff the end.

Based on an advent calendar The future wishes of the Earth Charter students will be displayed in different shop windows in the old and new towns of Warburg from December 1st to December 24th. "We are happy to have won the Warburg retail stores for this campaign", is led by Valeria Geritzen, coordinator of the Warburg Earth Charter Ideas Workshop.

"At the end of the campaign, the students' wishes should result in an extensive wish list for the new year, representative of all the citizens of the Hanseatic city," explains Anke Fabian and is already looking forward to what could come of it.

During the campaign, an overview of the wish lists will be available at the Neustadt-Markplatz Infopoint and at the United Volksbank eG. "Andreas Niggemeyer has also taken an overview of the locations into the administration, so that it can be displayed there," the idea of future wishes for the Earth Charter City already met with approval in advance. "As a city, we would like to hear and absorb sustainable thinking and the attitude of young people," says the new first alderman of the Hanseatic City of Warburg.

The Erd-Charter Ideenwerkstatt is particularly pleased about the support from the Vereinigte Volksbank eG and the promise of the Hanseatic City of Warburg to accompany the campaign on the social channels of the Hanseatic city.
